SNP Candidate Dropped In Antisemitism Row

THE SNP has just withdrawn support for Kirkcaldy and Cowdenbeath candidate Neale Hanvey.

Neale Hanvey, who is standing in Kirkcaldy and Cowdenbeath, has become the first Nationalist in the 2019 general election to be dropped over comments allegedly made on Facebook.

Kirsten Oswald, SNP Business Convener, told TBG:

“Antisemitism has no place in Scotland, and no place in the SNP.”

“All political parties have a duty to show leadership, and to take tough action.”

In the 2017 General Election Labour won the constituency with 36.8% of the vote compared to the SNP's 36.3%.
