Boris: Time To End Business Uncertainty

HOT on the heels of our scoop on the Conservatives agenda for today last night, TBG can sensationally reveal more of it this morning.

We understand that Boris Johnson will tell the CBI conference that he knows business didn’t want Brexit but it’s time to end the uncertainty.

His speech will include a pledge to cut business rates as part of review into them and to cut national insurance contributions by £1,000 for employers.

TBG can sensationally reveal that the Conservatives also plan to increase the Research and Development tax credit rate from 12% to 13%, which the party says will boost manufacturing and the professional, scientific and technical services sectors.

Mr Johnson is hoping to win a majority on 12 December, get his Brexit deal taking the UK out of the EU into law by 31 January and begin talks with Brussels on a permanent trading relationship.

He will tell the CBI: “With a Conservative majority government you can be sure we will get Brexit done and leave with the new deal that is already agreed.”

“Thus ending the uncertainty and confusion that has paralysed our economy.”
