Another Labour MP To Stand Down

Jeremy Corbyn took another blow this morning with the news that Wrexham MP Ian Lucas is to stand down at the General Election.

Lucas had a majority of just 1,831 last time round ahead of Tory Andrew Atkinson.

Lucas voted to trigger Article 50, the process which formally initiated the UK's EU exit, and has voted in Parliament in favour of forms of Brexit that would involve staying in the EU customs union, or following a Norway-style arrangement.

Wrexham voted to Leave the EU by 41,544 to 28,822.
