TBG can tonight sensationally reveal that 50 Labour MPs are ready to rally behind a compromise Brexit agreement.
Thus allowing Boris Johnson to avoid "crashing out" of the EU.
This is according to a source close to a leading member of a cross-party group that TBG reported as meeting yesterday.
TBG understands that this is the reason why Arlene Foster demanded a meeting with Boris Johnson yesterday too amidst growing unionist fears that he will cut Northern Ireland loose in his desperation for a deal.
Yet earlier today Mr Johnson told Facebook Live that he ruled out a Northern Ireland only backstop.
In a Facebook Live Q&A with the public Mr. Johnson said - “The crucial thing to understand is we will not accept a Northern Ireland-only backstop that simply does not work for the UK."
TBG understands that 26 Labour MPs wrote to party leader Jeremy Corbyn when Theresa May stood down as PM, backing a deal before October 31 and at least 24 other MPs who would like to vote for a deal.
