The Hypocrisy of Hague.

The news that Foreign Secretary William Hague has rejected the letter signed by 95 Conservative MPs urging the Prime Minister to give Parliament a national veto over current and future EU laws is disgraceful.

Here we have the same William Hague who as Opposition Leader in 2001 was the most euro-sceptic Tory leader ever yet as soon as he got the keys to office is as pro an EU politician as anyone from Labour ever was.

The fact of the matter is that whilst many people will sigh and say "that's politics", to those of us who fought the cause for so long and trusted his party for so long, what this amounts to is nothing short of treachery for which both Hague and David Cameron should hang their heads in shame.
