Half of Tory Backbenchers Support EU Law Veto.

The Daily Telegraph underline the strength of feeling from Tory Backbenchers as regards the EU today. It reveals that over half of them, 95 to be more accurate, now back an EU Law veto.

Astonishingly, another six MPs who wanted to put their names to the list were prevented from doing so because of ministerial posts they hold.

One Cabinet Minister thought to support the cause is Environment Secretary Owen Patterson.

If such a change was made law it would allow Britain to take back control of employment, social and immigration laws to name just a few.

Nick Clegg this morning continued to show his support for the EU saying that talk of withdrawing would damage investment and British business and could cost three million jobs.

Foreign Secretary William Hague has today rejected the suggestion of such a law.
