EXCLUSIVE: DWP Pending Crisis as National Insurance Enquiries Jam Phone Lines.

A MAJOR call centre that deals with National Insurance inquiries for new foreign workers in the UK has allegedly been fobbing off British nationals whilst its helpline is being inundated by Bulgarians and Romanians, TBG can sensationally reveal.

Despite the Call Centre's official website stating - "If you have the right to work in the UK, you will need to telephone Jobcentre Plus on telephone 0845 600 0643 to arrange to get one (Nat. Insurance number)" - TBG has learned that hard working self-employed Brits who use this DWP line have been told to "try again later."

The UK jobs market was flung open to millions of workers from Bulgaria and Romania on January 1st. National insurance numbers are needed by anyone trying to get a job in the UK or to gain access to benefits.

TBG can reveal that one source at the Newcastle Call Centre claims they're - "Getting between 3,000 and 9,000 calls per day. Most of the calls are coming from Bulgarians and Romanians."

The news comes hot-on-the-heels of TBG exposing a similar crisis at the DWP regarding the new Universal Credit.

This morning a spokesperson for Iain Duncan Smith told TBG - "There is absolutely no evidence to say that the Call Centre been inundated with calls from Romanians and Bulgarians and there is no evidence to say that the lines have been jammed."
