EXCLUSIVE: Calls for Wales Tory Youth Leader to Resign After Labelling Members 'Sheep'.

Wales Tory Youth Leader also seems to believe David Cameron isn't a Conservative

SENSATIONAL events are taking place in Wales Conservative Future (CF) and has led to several severely concerned CF members contacting tbg in shock, dismay and anger at the public bashing their Leader appears to be giving them and the senior Tory Party leadership.

CF Wales Leader seems to have publicly mocked his membership shockingly suggesting they are "Sheep" (left), supposedly for agreeing with David Cameron and Tory policy. The CF Wales Leader has even questioned whether those who sit on the Tory front bench in the House of Commons are in-fact Conservatives.

A Wales branch Committee member exclusively told tbg - "I strongly believe that Wales CF is failing, caused by the rifts being made by our Wales CF Chair, Chris Harries.

"I believe it is completely unacceptable to mock other members of the CF group for holding different views of your own in any circumstance, especially if your head of an influential political youth movement.

"His comments and a complete lack of professional engagement damage our Party's and group image and I therefore call for a public apology and if he thinks his comments were befitting a sitting CF Area Chair'.

"I know I am not the only other member who feels this way, and we now expect a higher level of professionalism, drive and commitment from our Chair'."

Another concerned Welsh CF'er said - "Harries is making all of us in CF Wales look bad by using the position as a platform for airing his ultra right-wing views. Harries has already failed in his role as Chairman of CF Wales and should resign before he causes further damage."

The Wales CF Leader has already come into criticism over the handling of Welsh Tory Youth Executive elections when they were binned by CCHQ Wales after claims votes were "opened and shared".

Fancy reporting some positives about Wales
Since he got in he's created two branches and signed up over a dozen new members and campaigned he may be out spoken but that's Harris all over

Katie Redmond said...

Chris has done more for Wales CF in the last month than anyone has for years, increased members, introduced guys from over in Aberystwyth to the bigger branches in South Wales, started new branches over in Pembrokeshire ready for Team 2015, he's travelled 100 miles to campaign for Craig Williams when those in Cardiff couldn't make it. He's made links with and helped out several local community groups who all think very highly of him as a result. To top it off, while this article was being posted on TBG, Chris was out feeding homeless people at a soup kitchen in Cardiff. Says it all, people will make up their own minds, not poisonous blog nonsense.

Would love to meet these 'dozen new members.'

Chris hasn't been able to deliver on anything since he's been elected. Remember when he tried to hold an election about three months ago and was caught out for opening ballots? Election still not delivered.

He hasn't held sub-regional Wales CF elections either. He hasn't

He encouraged members to leave a certain CF branch that he didn't like the chair of.

Creates a hostile and difficult environment for new members.

Belittles many of our most hardworking activists by using his favourite catchphrase "they're not real Conservatives."

Whilst I understand that its important that he holds his own views on the subject, he imposes them onto others and makes 'liberal' Conservatives feel completely unwelcone at CF Wales engagements.

He's thrown CF Wales into absolute mutiny. Branch chairmen despise him, he's blamed CCHQ Wales for his ballot rigging scandal, so they refuse to speak to him, and members, on the whole, think he's an arrogant waste of space.

Another day, another Harries story. Cooper needs to at least acknowledge what's going on here in Wales.

I see a certain Yorkshireman is sniffing around CF Wales, now that CF in his region are on to him.

Haha what a joke. If Chris really had been as amazing as some of these comments suggest, why all the outcry? He is clearly doing some wrong, engage your members, do what you say you are going to do and get stuck in. If you cant be bothered, resign. This isn't a 'step on the ladder' mate.

Christopher has done more damage Wales CF in the last month than anyone has in the last 3 years.

Increased members? Where are they. It is the existing branches which have recruited and gained new members, not Christopher.

Aberystwyth CF have always known their counterparts in South Wales. They all met at Welsh Conference this year.

He has only helped out with 'Cardiff Angels'. Who are just a front organisation to get Katie Redmond out in the community in Cardiff for her election. 'Cardiff Angels' website states Christopher and Katie live in Cardiff = a complete lie.

Pembrokeshire CF will not work. It doesn't have a single big source of new members and it is too spread out. A 17 year old won't travel 40 miles just to attend a social.

When he campaigned for Craig Williams he firstly criticised Craig on the day for the way the campaign was run, and he called Cardiff CF lazy and only attend socials. Most in Cardiff CF had exams.

He has tried to divide Wales CF not bring it together. He constantly speaks to Swansea and Cardiff CFs negatively in the attempt they will see each other as competitors and not work together.

Christopher is a compulsive liar, only those who are brainwashed believe him aka Redmond, Gaskell, Johnson.

Please can we have another election for Regional Chairman for Wales. This has not only torn Wales CF and made it worse but its an embarrassment on us nationally.

I plead with you Mr. Cooper, hold a re-election.

Guys, if you're worried about the national reputation of Wales CF, sort out any issues directly with Chris and with the party, this anonymous blogging isn't helping you.

Interesting how those who are quick to sling the mud hide behind the "anonymous" tag, whilst those who have worked with Christopher are happy to publicly support him. I've always found Chris an excellent Chair to deal with, and when he is in LDN he spends his time getting the Welsh message out there. Interesting how many "keyboard warriors" can't seem to cope with people with an actual personality.

Get Behind your Chairman, stop being pathetic. In short, put up or shut up.

This is very embarrassing. It does seem like some CFers spend more time disparaging their own party than they do fighting for it!

Harries wouldn't be in this situation if he didn't disparage his own party. He is incredibly disloyal to Cameron and CCHQ. Why does the arrogant so and so expect loyalty of others?

I sorry Katie I think you are mistaken in regards Amber CF branch meeting other Branch in South Wales. It was fact myself who introduced Aber to swansea and Cardiff CF, so Chris can not take credit for that. In addition, Cardiff CF contacted CCHQ and Craig explained why they can not make it as I was there why they received the phone call. I for one has lost faith in Chris's leadership. In addition I don't receive messages telling me to like your Cardiff Angels project. I will make my own decisions. Chris is using CF members for his own gain. I certainly don't like being told I not a really conservative.

Your "they aren't conservatives" "wets" "liberal fools" comments to our members who support equal marriage is shocking. No wonder Wales CF is in the state it is in.

I don't like receiving message telling me to like your Cardiff angel project from Chris (what that sentence should read)

"Cardiff Angels" will be a flop. Without any power base in Cardiff it can not succeed.

Get out of wales we do not want you

are people really that blind?........

Every scandal Chris is embroiled in, he always has someone else to blame!

Anonymous said...

He's only been Chair since March and he's already been the subject of three reported scandals! It's in his (and the party's) best interest to resign.

Anonymous said...

Let's see who Chris has blamed for the scandals:

1) Decided to hold an election instead of appointing as he promised - Blamed Leighton Rowlands.

2) Opened and shared ballots - Blamed CCHQ Wales

3) Failed to hold another election - Blamed CCHQ Wales

4) Calling members wets - Blamed it on another Wales CF member.

He never stands up and takes complete responsibility.

Christopher has only one option. Resign.

For a party thats supposed to be pro freedom of speech, the intolerance on this thread is astounding. I don't know what else has gone on but on the issue itself I don't see how Chris has stepped out of line here. He has merely spoken what is true, some people follow. Amazing isn't it how having an EU referendum is so popular now, yet many now supposedly for it have always beend dead set against it. Some people in the party follow.
