Well done, Mr Prime Minister.

David Cameron has to be commended for his outstanding achievement on becoming the first British Prime Minister to ever win a cut in the EU budget.

As people here in Britain continue to plod on in austere times caused by the mess Labour left behind it is only right that the EU budget should follow suit.

Yet I seriously cannot contain my outrage that members of the elected European Parliament could still veto the deal in secret.

I've heard the phrase "turkeys never vote for Christmas" but for them there is no hiding place and in my opinion in a democracy the same principle should apply to politicians.

We, the taxpayer, pay their wages, so it us that they should be completely accountable to.
