Robinson accused of 'establishment stitch-up'.

Recent revelations about Oliver Cooper and Paul Holmes have sensationally led to Matt Robinson being stood accused of being a stooge involved an establishment stitch up against his rivals in the race for Conservative Future National Chairman.

A source from a rival camp told tbg that Matt Robinson will not break the London-centric cycle and is a South-West Londoner who lives with current two-term Chairman Ben Howlett.

"Matt Robinson is a stooge of Ben Howlett. How can he call the other candidates London centric - he lives in South West London - actually as a housemate of current CF National Chairman Ben Howlett.

"This seems to me to clearly be an establishment stitch up to discredit the other candidates. And whilst we're on the subject - how can a SW London boy be Regional Chair' of Northern Ireland CF?"

Revelations of a current candidate for National Chairman living with the current Chairman are sure to fuel speculation that Robinson and Howlett are in cahoots. With the people at the top and their mandem trying to prevent those who want to make a breakthrough onto the National Executive from doing so.

Robinson recently released his Pledge of Principles signed by other election candidates standing for different positions on the Conservative Future National Executive.

Robinson has worked hard as NI Chair and continues to encourage the rest of NI CF making him a great candidate for the elections. Just because he lives with Howlett how can we assume that this is a stitch up? Robinson is a NORTHERN IRISH boy with great ambitions in the Conservatives and will be great for CF nationally.

This is a very poor piece from tbg. The Oliver Cooper revelations had nothing to do with Robinson or any of his supporters. Secondly, today's story about Charlotte Argyle's supporters telling her to distance herself from Paul Holmes originated from The Old Lion - a site that has no affiliation to any candidate. So where is the stitch-up?

To be honest...this sounds like a spoon-fed line from Adam Honeysett-Watts

Shame on tbg for publishing this piece. Utter tosh.

Matt Robinson 4 National Chairman.

Talk about playing the man and not the ball.

Sounds like sour grapes from Adam Honeysett-Watts.

Honeysett-Watts is getting desperate to resurrect the limpest campaign since Michael Foot's!

I was at an event with Matt last night when TBG ran this story. I have echoed Charlotte's words from the 10 Jan that members should take more of [these vitriolic attacks] to the lefties rather than our own. This nonsense is low by any standards

Erm Adam, this story was given to TBG before the event. Stop your smearing as it does Paul Holmes no favours at all.

Adam is furious that Matt Robinson will win against Paul Holmes so has to brief TBG stories like this.

Matt will make an excellent National Chairman given his previous experience of being the Northern Ireland Chairman, which is why Adam is very afraid.

Dear Anonymous, I wouldn't know whether the piece was given before the event; you seem to have more information on that! You also don't speak for me. You're entitled to vote for whoever you select but we're running a clean campaign. You need to look elsewhere sir. Back to work

Honeysett-Watts is a prime source of "vitriolic attacks"; a manipulating schemer apprenticing himself to Machiavellian plotting.

How can he be in a National Exec role and campaign for a National Chairman candidate at the same time. He should stand down.

Deighton is the only one who won't engage in this petty bickering of the London mob.
Vote Deighton!

Vote Deighton, get Holmes. Better off voting for either Cooper or Robinson.

Yeah Matts a cool dude. Anyone who hates on him is hatin' life itself.

Go Matt!

Complete rubbish! Matt has done a tremendous job in Northern Ireland and having studied in both Wales and Scotland and yes recently having moved to London, he is by no means biased to any one area. He would make a great chairman and would in fact be a breath of fresh air from Howlett.

All dirty tactics and mud slinging will achieve is to discredit yourselves! Do you not think CCHQ is watching every development?
