Holloway backs Matt Robinson for CF Leader.

The first big CF election endorsement

Cities of London and Westminster Conservative Future Chairman, Richard Holloway, has this afternoon swung his weight behind Matt Robinson for the Tory Youth top job.

Holloway released this exclusive statement to tbg - "CF needs someone who can unite our members across the whole UK as we fight the Scottish Referendum, local elections in 2013 and 14, and gear up to the General Election in 2015.

"Having been involved in Conservative Future for many years; there are few people who possess a broad range of experiences, both personally and professionally, who have the dedication, enthusiasm and loyalty that Matt has.

"Matt has that most critical of skills needed in a Chairman; the power to unite people together under one banner, for one cause. He believes strongly in localism, in delegating responsibility to those on the ground, the hardworking members, in pursuing transparency and making the organisation fair, fluent and flexible. This may be harder said than done, as I'm sure the outgoing chairman would agree, but if you want a leader with the skill, the mindset and the tenacity to work towards this local agenda for Conservative Future, then vote for Matt Robinson.

"Alongside this strong localism agenda I believe there is a strong need for training within CF; in speaking, debating, networking, media handling and campaigning. We have the skills in CF to coach each other, support each other and develop each other. With this in mind, I will be focusing on developing a training capability for Conservative Future. We are a broad church in CF, with wide opinions ranging across many subjects.

"Conservative Future’s next Chairman needs to be able to unite every Conservative young person in support of freedom, responsibility and a fair economy. We have a growing army of solid Conservative Future members and the person to take them forward is Matt Robinson."
