Boris slams Euro as morally wrong.

Boris Johnson upped the stakes in the row gripping the Conservative Party today by hitting out at the EU.

In a set piece speech in London the Mayor said that he couldn't understand why Britain was going down such a road.

Mr Johnson said the predictions of euro-sceptics had turned out to be entirely correct and said that the single currency project had been "calamitous, anti-democratic and morally wrong."
