Former Blair aide attacks Jackson EU migrant plans.

Seems as though Tory MP Stewart Jackson has ruffled a few feathers with his proposed Bill.

Former Blair Mandarin, Sir Gus O'Donnell, says that such a plan would hurt economic growth.

Sir Gus says - "The first thing that the Government can do to help growth is stop shooting itself in the foot as regards immigration policy."

Earlier this week Tory Peer Lord Heseltine said that "regulations relating to immigration policy should be reviewed."

Last night Immigration Minister Mark Harper told tbg. - "What the Government has done is to ensure that those coming here from outside the EU are highly skilled and needed by employers."
