NHS tourism: The facts and figures.

tbg. reported recently that Tory MP Henry Smith recently discovered that the UK paid out £1.7 billion in 2011 to countries which treated British nationals abroad. Yet in return Britain only claimed back £125 million for foreign nationals treated here.

Following a Freedom of Information Request by Conservative MP for Kingswood Chris Skidmore tbg. can publish the Top Ten Hospitals detailing the amount of debt owed by foreign nationals.

2. Barts and the London NHS Trust is owed £3,020,176
3. Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust is owed £2,701,051
4. Barnet and Chase Farm Hospitals NHS Trust is owed £2,539,000
5. University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust is owed £2,289,662
6. Southampton University Hospitals NHS Trust is owed £1,803,000
7. Royal Free Hampstead NHS Trust is owed £1,657,000
8. Croydon Health Services NHS Trust is owed £1,630,802
9. North Bristol NHS Trust is owed £1,575,000
10. Oxford Radcliffe Hospitals NHS Trust is owed £1,322,000
