A Christian girl has been kidnapped then forced to convert to Islam and marry a Muslim man named Manzar Dahar - who is a disciple of the politically influential Pir Mian Mithoo. This practice and other violent acts against non-Muslims happen on a regular basis in Pakistan and are on the rise.

Pakistan Christian Post says - "Ruling Pakistan People’s Party MNA Mian Mithoo is notorious in kidnapping non-Muslim girls and after keeping them in his Haveli (fort) married them to his disciples or servants."

The parents of the kidnapped girl Rebecca (22) had held protests & demonstrations to try and lodge a report but the police refused to file the case, so they have been forced to go as far as the President of Pakistan to ask for help in recovering their daughter.

This past Friday a Christian church in Karachi was set upon by hooligans where cars, religious books, doors and windows of the church were apparently smashed to pieces.

Saleem Khurshid Khokhar, Chairman for a Committee on Minorities Affairs called for the restoration of the - "Quaid-e-Azam’s Pakistan. In the new State of Pakistan, we should all be Pakistanis. You are free to go to your temples, your mosques, to your churches and all citizens shall be equal in the eyes of the law."

Violence continues to spread in this unstable country which America and Britain call an ally in the fight against Islamic extremism.
