McCartney backs local skills training.

Well done to Conservative MP Karl McCartney.

The Member of Parliament for the City of Lincoln recently called on local food and grocery businesses to sign up to an industry campaign to support young unemployed people in his constituency during difficult times.

Feeding Britain’s Future will see thousands of young people go into farms, factories and stores for free skills training.

There are now around 1070 young unemployed people in Lincoln.

Mr McCartney told The Jeff Brookers Article: "No matter how much taxpayers’ money the last Labour Government spent on this issue, they did not eradicate the problem."

"Lincoln has some fantastic food and grocery businesses and this campaign is an opportunity for them to offer important skills training to those who need it most."

"For the local young unemployed to receive maximum value from this scheme we need as many food and grocery businesses in the area to sign up.2

Power to your elbow Karl!
