Boris is dropped.

First he was left hanging and tonight he has been dropped.

Thankfully though, its for the right reasons.

You see before the Olympics began and with travel chaos expected our Boris recorded his own transport broadcasts for tube and rail passengers.

However, because of the fact that so many people have AVOIDED the capital because of the games and an estimated 1.5 million people have either taken leave or are working from home the broadcasts have been dropped.

One regular communter in Canary Wharf told tbg. earlier today that they had never known early morning rush hour to be so quiet.

Even London Bridge station which was expected to bare the brunt of the much expected evening travel chaos was below normal capacity tonight.

One travel ambassador told tbg that without the games London would be a "ghost town!"
