Labour Parliamentary Candidate Slammed Over 'Dreadful' 'Shambles' Celeb Christmas Lights Switch-on.

LABOUR Parliamentary Candidate Chris Oxlade's Christmas Lights switch-on has been slammed as an unbelievable waste of taxpayers money and a dreadful shambles after a shoddy event in Crawley, TBG can sensationally reveal.

What The Mail didn't seem to notice in its report was that the master of ceremonies for the expensive taxpayer-funded extravaganza was Crawley Labour Parliamentary Candidate Chris Oxlade.

Seemingly still craving cheesy publicity in hiring kids tv celeb Stephen Mulhearn and sharing the limelight; Oxlade is a has-been Disc Jockey from former local radio station in Crawley Radio Mercury, which ceased broadcasting in 2010.

One Crawley resident told TBG - "His (Oxlade) main selling point to be Crawley's MP appears to be that he was born in Crawley - something which can't happen these days since Labour closed down the maternity ward at Crawley Hospital in 1999."

Another resident at the event with his daughter said - "All I can say is it was unbelievable. My daughter asked me when they were putting the lights on - but they already had."

A 3rd resident told TBG - "It was a joke - we couldn't see the fireworks and the decorations themselves are dreadful.

"It was a shambles and an embarrassment. Spending £100 on the event would have been too much, let alone £17,000."

I wonder how much Hartlepool Borough Council paid for their Christmas Lights switch-on? Although, the event was sponsored, but do not say at what cost.

Crawley Borough Council needs watching. They are spending a small fortune of public money to give Oxlade maximum exposure ahead of next May's election.

Oxlade, a man who says its been his life long ambition to be Labour MP for Crawley - so where was he for years when he could have been a member? Just needed a council seat and the expenses when he finally got found out as a crap DJ. Literally couldn't organise a piss up in a brewery or a local ward meeting (he is, despite not being elected, branch secretary) in the last 3 years.

Stop bitchin Jonesy you big fat lump just cos I beat your big sorry ass and won the Labour nomination. Stop doin ya stupid press releases and tryin to upstage me all the time. No one wants to know about a fat smelly slob from Bognor who only moved to Crawley to become a councillor. It is all about me now, all about ME! Get used to it fatso!

Who the hell do you think you are Ox? You think you can just turn up when it looked like Laura was going and call yourself a life-long Labour activist and Mr Crawley? When you were playing Chesney Hawkes on the radio and pretending you were Fluff Freeman, I was out campaigning for Labour in all weathers. You attack the man because your arguments are vacuous and you know that I know that your only campaigning strategy is to pretend you are everyone's mate and think they fall for it. Well I've got news for you Potatohead, people want real policy and campaigning, not your 'ain't I great and I'm your mate bollox. When you get trashed for a second time by Smith, it will be real activists like me that pick up the pieces.

Jonesey you need to accept fella that are jealous of me cos I have it and you don't. Stop spreading your lies about me and tryin to position yourself as my successor for PPC should I not win this time. You will never get the nomination over me in a million years. I'd have to be caught doing a weller or somethin for you to come anywhere close. You couldn't even get past the first round in the leadership contest in 2012 when the lead character from Revenge of the Nerds was on the ballot paper! Take a look at your own facebook, you look a complete tw@t in that picture outside the fire station and you are trying to upstage me in the fracking picture when you used your hippo-like girth to push me out of the way to get to the centre of the picture. Don't think others haven't noticed how you are behavin. If you think you are getin on the Cabinet next year when Shreevesy goes, you can think again fella.

I ain't your fella so don't call me that. You just cannot accept any criticism whatsoever. You are famous for begging your mates at the Crawley News to do you favours, like pulling any critical stories about you or by having a column the week before the PCC selection titled "Mr Crawley". Don't think I have forgotten that.

For your information as you won't bother to read the minutes, the group were left very unimpressed that yet again you were absent from tonight's meeting. One member muttered that "we're not good enough for him" and Marian said "he thinks we're beneath him." You can bet your Cliff Richard record collection that the local party will be looking to ditch you once you'll become a two-time loser. We need a real heavyweight like me to win Crawley, not some shallow lightweight with a funny-shaped head that resembles a potato.6

Unlike you Jonesy, I have a job and my services are in demand. When did you last do a day's work? As a DJ I connect with people, they love me and you can't handle that. All you can do is connect with your dinner! Stop slagging me off in public and damagin my campaign. You couldn't get selected for Bognor and you'll soon see that Horsham and Arundel won't touch you with a barge poll.
