Conservative Future National Deputy Chairman Sarah-Jane Sewell Quits After 'Abhorrent' Treatment.

TORY YOUTH National Deputy Chairman for Membership Sarah-Jane Sewell has sensationally quit her post just hours before an expected Conservative Party announcement on fresh CF National Elections, saying she has been "besmirched in the most abhorrent fashion", TBG can reveal.

The Conservative Future (CF) Deputy Sarah told TBG - "It is with a mixture of relief and regret, that I must tender my resignation thirty one and a half months since the day I was elected to the position of Conservative Future National Deputy Chairman Membership."

The CF National Executive has apparently been the focus of a coup d'etat by activists from the major 2015 campaign arm of the Conservative Party.

Dramatic news reached TBG on Wednesday that Sarah had been asked "not to stand" by Party insiders and may be ditched for upcoming elections in a similar fashion to that of her colleague & current National CF Chairman Oliver Cooper.

Sarah says she is "concerned" about the promotion of a Team2015 candidate for the upcoming election saying - "I am left concerned that a widely suggested candidate for national chairman has apparently been promoted using the Conservative Party’s Team2015 mailing lists and the Conservative Party social media accounts. I do not believe such conduct is in the spirit of democracy that our party has always stood for and I am not prepared to appear to condone this by remaining in office."

Sewell claims that she has been abhorrently besmirched on social media with untrue claims and adds - "I have little doubt that other opponents would be subject to similar treatment from those who seemingly act with impunity. I do wonder if I would have been quite as eager to get involved if I had seen the human bear baiting that takes place on social media now, as a seventeen year old searching for Conservative events on Facebook in 2011."

Conservative future, doing elections in the North Korean fashion

This is all getting a bit "People's Front of Judaea" and "Judaean People's Front", people nobody's ever heard of flouncing out of organisations nobody in the real world gives a toss about.

I'm personally sorry to hear it. Maybe she made mistakes but she did bring a different outlook than some of the usual crowd.

Who even are these people featured in the letter?

Anonymous said...

It's time for Crozier-Young! #CY4CF

Anonymous said...

Have any of those mentioned in the letter actually ever come out to support SJS in any of her campaigns?

Anonymous said...

1:33pm really is trying to make '#CY4CF' a thing isn't s/he?

I hope Mark Clarke is proud of himself

Of all the things of which we can be sure, Mark Clarke's fondness for himself is amongst the most certain.

There is a certain song that springs to mind....'ding dong'...

Sod CF. Just a bunch of jumped up idiots.

"It's time for Crozier-Young! #CY4CF" - Tosser-Bellend? #TB4CF? Nah.

The Party will recover from this eventually. The shock of this has been seismic. I have been contacted by Robert Winfield to say that he is currently filling out the necessary paperwork to nominate Sarah-Jane for an OBE.

Sad day.

Lol - Come at me 2:16pm.

P.S CY4CF isn't a thing...

She was the people’s national deputy chairman and that’s how she will stay, how she will remain in our hearts and in our memories forever.

There are too many non-thing things in this thread.

It's clear to see 2:16pm is #TeamEdward.

What's the likelihood of a small band of sassy, yet-oh-so-professional, members of CF drafting One Direction to be co-Chairmen of CF? #OneWayOrAnotherImGonnaDraftYa #IllDraftYaIllDraftYa

Anonymous said...

Can anyone in CF even be described as 'sassy'?

Anonymous said...

Oh the "local branch" that is defunct?

Who's Edward? Hahaha

Do people realise this is CF lol? You're all competing for who can coordinate campaigns best.

You all think you're being so witty and digging yet daren't even give your names. The reality is, people want to be chair because they think it'll naturally lead to them being an MP. Try research the last time a national chair became an MP then give yourself a reality check. Half of you don't even have the moxy to be researchers lol.

Having worked with both Canning and Annabel Shaw, I think they'll do a great job as DCP and Best Practice respectively, and I suggest everyone else supports them.

Fingers crossed #teamJasmine will stand again too. CF really needs to start actually being fun.

xoxo

Can we have Zac Efron as Chairman please and thank you xoxoxoxoxox

At times it seems that CF is like the Eurovision of the politics world. Just without a bearded woman and dancing nannas.

Jacob Young said...

Gotta update my pop culture references

Pretty sure there's a bearded woman in Wirral somewhere

Robert Sinfield said...

PREEEEEEEposterous!!!!!

What kind of ridiculous, made-up name is 'Jacob Young'?! It's not even a pun! Go home

Don't change Jacob! You're awesome as you are! (I hope this doesn't sound sarcastic- it's not meant to be!)

Robert Wall Pole said...

I think Jacob is epic, don;t change a thing and keep on trucking!

She has been dedicated and devoted so much time and effort to the Party, that at least should be honoured. Thank you SJ x

Well at least SJ saved us from RHC first time around.

Can we have Jeremy Paxman, Jeremy Clarkson and Jeremy Kyle as Chairman and Deputy Political and Membership? PLEASSSSSSSSSSSEEEEEEEEEEE make this happen TBG.

Anonymous said...

Can one some create the Chuck Norris- Barry Scott slate please?

Anonymous said...

WE NEED THE SCOTT-LEE SLATE! Bruce Lee, Barry Scott, Jet Li (it goes sorta), Michael Scott, and the All-Powerful-All-Singing National Chairwoman: LISA SCOTT-LEE. #scottleeslate

Good riddance to this self serving reptile, she's been unpleasant to a number of people online herself yet now moans in a sanctimonious manner about her treatment, not to mention she always comes across as grasping to seek advantage in any which way she can, rather than helpful.
CF has continually plumbed new depths and clearly puts off way more potential members than those that join.
Canning is a good choice, he's got the backbone to do a good job.
Team Jasmine surely has more sense than to get involved with CF elections again after her disgusting treatment last time?
Heaven help Croydon with SJ resident :-)

I am so glad I retired from CF. You only have to look at CF in my area to see what is happening to CF; Area Chairmen forced out of office, sexism taking over, and people who are all-skirt and no knickers taking over.

I am so glad I got involved in my association and that there was no CF when I got involved. I am sad to say that I am closing my branch to stop members who will wreck it from taking over, CF has been destroyed in my area. The more people who retire from CF, the better!

"Sarah Jane was the person that made me decide to join the Conservative party, without her I would not be a member, and I wouldn't have met the wonderful people I now call my friends. So I'd like to thank SJ for encouraging me to join. SJ has been so supportive to me throughout everything in this past year. All I have to say is that CF has gone down badly, and won't be the same again. It's very sad that it has come to this but it has now turned into a little boys club."

Reminds me of my time in the YCs back in the 1980s. Seems like factional infighting never goes away

I was going to support Alex, but the bullying on this blog has put me off. SJ has been nothing but nice to me and I am embarrassed that my friends have resorted to this.
